The Yellow Jersey team are en route to the London Bike Show for four days of exhibiting, and a lot of sneaking off to look at what the world of cycling has to offer in 2016.
Specialized, Cannondale and Scott are all attending along with a myriad of smaller cycling companies showing off their new products to an eager public. We are particularly excited, as Yellow Jersey will be launching two new products at the show; short term bicycle insurance, and proper travel insurance designed for cycling abroad.
We are proud to say that both of these products have been designed with a great deal of input from the cycling and triathlon communities. Hours of consultations with both customers and those who didn’t end up signing up with Yellow Jersey has allowed us to really understand what members of our hobby need and want from an insurance product, to understand the short-falls of what is already on the market, and get to the bottom of any misinformation or lack of clarity.
As well as talking to attendees about our new products, the London Bike Show is a great opportunity to make the most of our relationships within the cycling world, and we’re going to have a broad sweep of guests on our stand over the weekend.
Ride leaders from La Fuga Travel will be joining us to talk to customers about their fantastic cycling holidays. This premium travel company takes enthusiasts all over the world to some of the most spectacular destinations on bespoke tours. Their promise is to make you feel like a pro.
Having La Fuga on our stand also gives us the opportunity to promote the competition we are running with them for a fully supported Etape du Tour trip. Don’t worry if you’re not at the show, you can still enter via our website.
Will Usher and Kate Berry will be joining us from Precision Coaching. The triathletes among us will enjoy chatting to these two as they take you through their training programs to strip time off your preferred distance. Official partners to the Gordon Ramsay 100 charity, they have taken Gordon through more than one Ironman and raised a huge amount of money for Great Ormond Street Hospital in the process. If they can get Gordon Ramsey over the line, think what they can do for you!
We’ll also be joined by one of our charity partners, Bloodwise. There are 137 types of blood cancer and it is the mission of Bloodwise to fight all of them, raising money for research into cures. As the charity as grown, one of their major sources of sponsorship has come through the cycling community, and they now run regular long distance rides such as their annual London to Paris sportive.
The excel arena is huge, so don’t worry if you haven’t bought your ticket, you’ll have no problem getting in on the day if you decide to come on a whim. Entry into the London Bike Show automatically gives you access to the Triathlon Show and the Outdoor and Adventure and Travel Show, each offering a huge amount to see and do, and well worth a trip up for the day with the family.
