Your Next Perfect Drive, Protected: Golf Travel Insurance

Here’s why you need golf travel Insurance from Yellow Jersey.

Are you dreaming of hitting the fairways on a sunny weekend getaway or a grand golfing adventure abroad? We get it! At Yellow Jersey, we’re golfers, too, and we know how important it is to protect your passion. That’s why we’ve created golf travel insurance that’s as easy to understand and covers the things you really need so you can focus on your game wherever it takes you.

Standard travel insurance often fails to address golfers’ unique needs. Your clubs are more than just luggage; a sudden course closure or a missed tee time can seriously derail your plans. That’s where our golf travel insurance comes in. It is designed to cover those ‘what if’ moments so you can relax and enjoy your trip.

Ask yourself two questions about your current travel insurance –

Does it cover a sudden course closure or a missed tee time?
e.g. due to adverse weather

Does my travel insurance cover the full value of my clubs?
Or emergency club hire…

Golf Travel Insurance

Our Golf Travel Insurance covers emergency medical expenses, repatriation, and trip cancellation on top of lots of other golf specific features you cant get from a generic travel insurer.

In much the same way you buy travel insurance for winter sports, we have made travel insurance for golf holidays simple and easy to understand. Buying golf travel insurance has always been needlessly complicated, so we aim to make the coverage we offer when playing abroad absolutely clear.

Whether you play every day or just add it to a broader adventure, we’ve got you covered.

Golf Travel insurance VS GENERIC TRAVEL Insurance?

Most standard policies either won’t cover golf equipment to its full value, or they won’t over-hiring clubs if your clubs fail to arrive. Standard travel insurance won’t cover lost rounds due to bad weather conditions, leaving you out of pocket. There is usually no cancellation protection for injuries that prevent you from playing golf– the main purpose of your trip.

Yellow Jersey’s golf travel insurance covers the things that matter most to golfers.

Club Protection: Lost, stolen, or damaged clubs? We’ve got you covered.
Hire Help: Need to rent clubs on the fly? We can help with that.
Tee Time Security: Non-refundable green fees? We’ll aim to get those back to you.
Personal Protection: Accidents happen. We include personal liability and medical coverage.
Trip Coverage: Cancellations and delays? We can help mitigate those costs.
Baggage Protection: We also cover your personal belongings.

No matter where you travel to play golf, if you have Golf Travel Insurance with Yellow Jersey, you can relax and play with complete confidence that you’re covered.

If you take several trips throughout the year, an annual policy may be better value.

Annual or Short Term

A Travel lots, pay less

By spreading the risk over 12 months, we can reduce the rates for you while still providing cover for every weekend trip or week-long golfing holiday you enjoy abroad.

Our annual policies can also include winter sports coverage, so purchasing annual travel insurance before your summer golf trip could save you the hassle of finding another insurer before your winter skiing trip.

B No commitment

For those who don’t travel so frequently or don’t want the commitment, we also offer short-term, single-trip policies. Whilst these are obviously more expensive pro-rata, they offer great flexibility and the same cover afforded to regular travellers.

Discounts

With discounts available for Families and Couples, there is no need to purchase separate annual travel insurance if you’re not all going to be golfing. If you travel with your partner, we offer them a 50% discount.

For a family policy with two adults, your first child will be added for half the price, and any more will be added for free. The same discount is available for single-parent families where you pay for one adult.

If you are organising a trip with your cycling club, our group discount allows parties of 5 – 10 people to travel on one policy with a 5% discount.

Since active people rarely confine themselves to a single discipline, our annual policies also include free winter sports cover.
